The Spice Islands Voyage

I love stories about the naturalists of the 19th century. This book has a lot going on, we get a traditional history of Wallace’s adventures in the spice islands (modern day Indonesia).  The book also examines his relationship to Darwin and if in fact Wallace's paper "inspired" Darwin. Wallace was always modest but a very curious and clever man. Finally we have the authors adventure replicating Wallace’s voyage and reporting on changes in modern day Indonesia.

Great book, I particularly lied the Wallace history parts.
